Chip LaMarca is a lifelong resident of Broward County. He has earned a reputation for being a citizens’ advocate and a respected voice for the taxpayers.
Chip has lived the American Dream and wants to ensure all Broward families have the ability to do the same. After attending Boston University and Broward College, Chip returned to home to follow in the footsteps of his late father, helping to bring jobs to Broward in the construction industry. After establishing himself as a knowledgeable and trusted manager with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, Chip opened LaMarca Construction in 2006.
Chip is a dedicated servant who is committed to us. He became active in public service in 2002, serving on many City of Lighthouse Point advisory boards. In 2005, Chip was elected to a seat on the Lighthouse Point City Commission after running a campaign based on integrity, public safety, and good governance. In 2010, Chip was elected to serve on the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.
Since being elected to the County Commission, Chip has worked tirelessly to bring jobs to Broward County, advocate for balanced budgets and low taxes, and preserve our beaches.
Chip is deeply involved in our community and works every day to build a stronger Broward. Chip focuses on economic development and jobs on the Board of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance. He was appointed by Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam to serve on the Florida State Fair Authority Board. He serves in leadership roles in the Florida Association of Counties and the National Association of Counties.
Chip also serves on the Broward County Fire Rescue Council, and the Regional Emergency Medical Services Council that has spearheaded the campaign, “Take 5 to Stay Alive” to advocate against texting and driving. Chip serves on the Board of Directors and the Strategic Planning Committee for the Riverwalk Trust. He is also part of the team bringing the Village Square program to Broward County.
Chip will take that commitment to Broward families to Tallahassee as our next State Representative. Chip and his wife Eileen reside in Lighthouse Point with their two rescue dogs.
